How much beer is 48-50L?
A Kettle or Batch is between 48 and 50 Litres of beer. That is equivalent to 140 to 145 beer bottles, as put out by the major breweries. So if you split a kettle with 4 people you each would get approximatly 3 cases of 12 beer bottles.
Why do I need an Appointment?
The brewing process of your beer begins several hours before your scheduled appointment.
After our staff perform a 2 ½ hour process to create an all grain wort, the fresh, high quality wort is transferred to the individual kettles for you to come in and add the specialty grains and hops, creating the style and flavour of your beer.
How Long is the Process?
The brewing process will take you just over an hour and a half. The bottling process depends on the size of the bottles you are filling and normally takes anywhere between 30 to 60 minutes. Remember the period between brewing and bottling is 2 weeks, so check your calendar now and make sure you have lots of fresh Bedford beer in stock.
